ADDITIONAL COMMENTS AND/OR OUTFITTER/BOOKING AGENT REBUTTAL
Nestor Falls Fly In Outposts are operated by Dave and Michelle Beaushene. They are two of the friendliest and most concerned outfitters of their kind I have ever encountered.

The service they provide is for the do it yourself set. They provide top notch fishing boats and motors, good outpost cabins, and safe float plane transportation.

The cabins are rustic with modern conveniencies - wood stoves, propane lights, fridges, ranges, and freezers. Many of their cabins have hot and cold running water and hot showers.

Food is provided and prepared by the angler as is cabin housekeeping.

The fishing is nothing short of spectacular. Kay Lake is loaded with many smallmouth in the 2-5 pound range. Best lures are tube jigs, spinnerbaits, and topwater baits. Kay also sports a healthy population of muskie in the 10 - 25 pound range. It has been my experience that bass anglers will land on average 2 - 8 muskies, have 8 - 10 break offs, and many, many follows. These muskie are so numerous that fly casting to them with large streamers is great sport.

Clear Lake is about 2 hours by float plane from Nestor Falls, Ontario. This lake is full of walleye in the 2-10 pound class. Anyone interested in big pike should check this lake out. On our last outing on Clear Lake, myself and another angler caught approximately 125 pike over 7 pounds and a greater number under that weight. The pike were caught on medium action spinning gear with Mepps spinners, spinnerbaits, floating minnows, crazy crawlers, and crankbaits. After this became boring we switched to ultra lite rods and 6 pound test. The action was even greater with this method. We also fly cast to the pike with 6 & 7 weight rods with floating line and large streamers and poppers. What a thrill to see a 10 pound plus fish smash a popper.

For the angler who is willing to go it on their own I highly recommend this operation. It is first rate for true wilderness fly in fishing.

I would be happy to talk with anglers interested in this trip to answer any additional questions on lures, accommodations, and seasons.
