DESCRIPTION OF FISHING
Species Sought/Availability: Bonefish - Availability: Average
Tarpon - Availability: Scarce
Barracuda - Availability: Scarce
Shark - Availability: Average
Description of Catch Made: Averaged eight to ten bonefish per day (one boat, two anglers). Best fish nine pounds. Had sharks to 25 pounds and barracuda to 10 pounds. Did not hook any tarpon.
Type of Fishing: Mostly fishing from flats boats. Some wading available. Also possible to self-guide using a kayak (weather permitting).
Equipment Used: Nine weight rods for bonefish, floating lines. 11 weight for other species, intermediate line.
Flies Used: Variety of bonefish patterns. Light flies for bonefish special for tailing. Various gotcha's ,clousres and slamaroo for deeper water.
Description of Hatches:
Water/Weather Conditions: Several windy days reduced catches. Majority of bonefish were on deep flats fairly close to ocean. Few fish in back country.

Airline Comments: Charter service was very good (arranged by Buccaneer). Flew British Airways from London which was above average.

SUMMARY REMARKS
Problems on the Trip: No serious problems. Guides need a bit of training. Recent rain meant plenty of mosquitos.
Highlights of the Trip: Lodge is outstanding with superb food and plenty to do for non-anglers.
Cost of the Trip: $2,195 for seven nights, six days fishing.
Would You Recommend This Trip to a Friend? Yes
Why? Good bonefishing, lack of angler pressure and wonderful lodge with outstanding service. Nothing was too much trouble. Could reduce cost by self-guiding on some days.
Are There Non-Fishing Activities? Yes
If So, What Are They? Snorkelling, swimming, kayaking and various guided trips available (most at no extra cost).
