ADDITIONAL COMMENTS AND/OR OUTFITTER/BOOKING AGENT REBUTTAL
I have fished with Captain Richard Keating out of Marathon (305-743-6654) for five years. Please add Keating to your "Good Guy Guides". Keating is extremely knowledgeable of the entire area of the Keys. We have fished Largo to the Marquessas. He has a knack of making the beginner at home on the flats - A fact I have witnessed many times while entertaining customers. In addition to his outstanding qualifications and achievements as a fisherman, he constantly demonstrates the patience, insight and a sense of humor, making a flats trip a memorable one for the beginner or experienced angler. On my most recent outing with Keating last July, I took my 5 1/2 year old son. What I thought would be a short day did not end until late afternoon. Keating tailored the day to snappers, barracudas and grunts and he let John steer the boat, needless to say, cementing a youngster's love for the sport. We also jumped tarpon on the same day, dad has to have fun too! For the record, Keating caught a 48 pound permit on 8 pound test - a world record! After weighing the fish and having another guide in the area weigh the fish on a second scale, some pictures, the fish was released. I recommend, without qualification, Richard Keating to anyone wishing to go after tarpon, bonefish or permit. He can accommodate either light tackle or fly fishing. He maintains excellent equipment for both.

Thanks Don. By the way, I am the Sales Manager for a large beer distributor in Orlando. I have no affiliation with any outfitter or booking agency.
