DESCRIPTION OF FISHING
Species Sought/Availability: Dorado - Availability: Abundant
Roosterfish - Availability: Abundant
skipjacks - Availability: Abundant
Description of Catch Made: Largest dorado 25 pounds on a 10 weight fly rod. Largest rooster 12 pounds.
Type of Fishing: Flyfishing from a panga (open 18 foot boat).
Equipment Used: 10 weight Powell, 10 weight Cabela XST, 12 weight Cabela XST. Rio Outbound short intermediate sink 10 weight. 400 grain sink line tenny. 11 weight Rio floating.
Flies Used: Sea habits 1/0, Sardina 1/0 and 2/0. Crease flies and Bubble head poppers.
Description of Hatches:
Water/Weather Conditions: Excellent weather (95-105 degrees) flatwater in am, usual 5-10 knot winds by mid afternoon. Off water by 1pm.

Airline Comments: San Francisco, Los Angeles, La Paz minimal layovers. Delta also services La Paz, hearsay not "great". Delta means "Don't Expect Luggage To Arrive".

SUMMARY REMARKS
Problems on the Trip: None. Hotel (La Concha) in LaPaz on water, good margaritas. Food good (prepared dorado for us at supper). Dinners in LaPaz, good quality and inexpensive.
Highlights of the Trip: Jay Murakoski - teaches well, trip well planned.
Cost of the Trip: One week 7 nights, 6 days guided fishing $1,500. Dinners not included. Tips, Pangarros $30 a day. Transport $5 a day.
Would You Recommend This Trip to a Friend? Yes
Why? Outstanding. Second year I've done it, taking 5 of my friends back June 2010.
Are There Non-Fishing Activities? Yes
If So, What Are They? Snorkeling, diving, limited shopping, two hours north of Cabo St. Lucas.
