So, those stories about big redfish have intrigued you about fishing in Louisiana? Well, you have come to the right place for information you can use to plan a trip there. The Angling Report has nearly 40 subscriber-written reports on fishing in Louisiana, plus a lot of previously published articles. Our Louisiana fishing coverage includes reports from subscribers who have fished with all of the major redfish guides in and around New Orleans. Our coverage includes reports on the effects Hurricane Katrina had on Louisiana fishing and the guides who provide it. The major species of interest to anglers who travel to Louisiana at this time is indeed the redfish, but there are also big black drum in the same marshes where redfish occur.
