New Zealand Fishing

So, you want to go fishing in New Zealand? Well, you have come to right place. The major species available in New Zealand are brown trout and rainbow trout, but there are also interesting species such as the kahawai to go for. Just be aware that fishing in New Zealand for the first time can be a shock, as there is a great emphasis on sight fishing and on catching a few, large fish. Also, stream fishing in New Zealand can be somewhat challenging physically, as it often involves periods of strenuous walking, interspersed with attempts to raise sighted fish. The appeal of New Zealand fishing is unmistakable, and the people you meet there unforgettable. But if you are into catching large numbers of small, easy fish, New Zealand fishing may not be right for you.
