Subscriber Stephen Karpowich is very pleased with a float trip on the Colorado River in Colorado handled for him this past May by Sunrise Anglers (www.sunriseanglers.com) in Littleton, personal guide Thomas Schneider. The stretch of river they fished was downriver of Glenwood Springs.

Karpowich says he and his son caught a number of browns and rainbows, and they also lost some very large fish. They did most of their fishing while floating, but they also stopped to wade from time to time. “This trip provided a great chance to spend some time with my son and a great guide,” Karpowich writes, going on to note that Sunrise Anglers is a past winner of the Orvis-endorsed Guide Service of the Year Award. “Thomas was very accommodating and he cooked us a great lunch on a portable gas grill. I recommend our experience with Sunrise Anglers to fellow subscribers.”

Postscript: Karpowich gives the cost of his day of fishing as $500 for himself and his son.
