Subscriber William Bartlow gives a rave review to the fishing he and his son enjoyed on Section A of the Green River in Utah this past August. Their guide for the day was Colby Crossland of Spinner Fall Guide Service (www.spinnerfall .com). Bartlow says he and his son caught roughly two dozen 15- to 18-inch browns and rainbows. He says they also missed or lost a few larger fish, all while float fishing. He says it was warm and sunny most of the day, but it did threaten to rain at one point. As for a highlight of the trip, Bartlow cites the entire experience. “This was our first float fishing trip,” he writes. “The canyon and fish were beautiful. Our guide was super and always encouraging. I recommend the experience to fellow subscribers.”

Postscript: Bartlow gives the cost of the day of guided fishing as $500.
