Excellent - Highlights of the Trip:
I had three great days of fishing, so it is hard to get specific about highlights. Broke off a large tarpon at the boat on day one; caught 20+ snook the next morning plus lots of other species, and finished the trip with 50+ snook (most between 7 & 2 lbs, largest went about 17) plus some baby tarpon; then went looking for the backcountry slam - amazingly, couldn't find a redfish - but still one of the best trips I've ever had the good fortune to experience.
I can't say enough good things about Ned. I've been lucky enough to fish with many well-known and respected guides, and Ned is certainly as good as any guide I have ever fished with. He is personable and extremely knowledgeable. Moreover, he would point out bird life and wildlife. He was also able to discuss the history of the Everglades, pointing out various places and unique features of the 'Glades. I thoroughly enjoyed being with him.
Moreover, he was quick to come up with a new game plan when the fishing slowed or he believed there were other, more productive options. He is a "fishing fool" and I highly recommend him. He is a tarpon addict and he has limited availability during the spring tarpon season, but he is well versed in other options during the summer, fall and winter. - Would you recommend this trip to a friend?:
