Fishing lived up to the hype. The lodge could not have been more comfortable. The staff was the most friendly and accomodating EVER. We showed up from a long day of fishing to have a icy rum cocktail waiting for us on the dock. A cool dip in the pool, followed by an amazing dinner, finished off with a cigar at the cabana on the beach (watching the Giants beat Green Bay)! Spectacular! The crew on the boat was phenomonal! In 3 days they did not have one mishap --- no tangled lines, no hiccups hooking up, plenty of food and drink (they'd cut up local fruit for a snack in the morning and afternoon), great eyes for the fish, 35' Viking (the Serena) was perfect rig for the fishing we were doing. Last night in Guatemala was also a home run - we stayed at the Radison and ate at Hacienda Real (Guatemalan food and steak). We were surprised there were so many casinos attached to the hotels. We stayed 4 nights with 3 full days of fishing. - Would you recommend this trip to a friend?:
