  • Highlights of the Trip:
There were so many. That area of Newfoundland is amazingly beautiful, peaceful, serene, and rugged. The Lapoile river has so many faces and so many moods, not to mention that the fishing was excellent. By the end of the week I was truly sorry to say goodbye to the wonderful guides who provided exemplary hospitality and a warm friendliness, as well as some of the best home-cooked meals I have ever eaten. There were no other people around, so we had the pools all to ourselves and the solitude meant the moose and caribou felt quite comfortable walking through camp.
