The Williamsons who own and operate the Inn were extremely accommodating. Coffee ready at 6:30 AM, good breakfast at 7:30AM; good dinner and conversation with Shirley and Newton Williamson (favorite dish - Bahamian boiled grouper-kind of a soup. Fresh that day grouper, lime, other stuff. Outstanding cornbread!!) Nice little cooler for the canoe filled with ham or chicken sandwiches, fruit, chips, drinks, candy bar for lunches. (At age 65, I especially enjoyed tying up for a midday siesta on the floor of the boat after lunch). Not a busy time for them, and I happened to be the only guest. Suits me fine, but if I get back next year, and I hope I do instead of scouting for some different place with a 75% chance of being disappointed, it will probably be with a friend, and we'll surely go out once or twice with Garron Williamson or another of the reportedly excellent guides. No shortage of good looking boats there for the busy season and I'd like to get a shot at the inshore ocean water. This trip, I was content with every day's action and just wanted to do it again next day. Oh - and I never saw another human soul out there. No boats, no planes, no cars. No trash back in the mangroves. Made good friends with a couple of cranes, and a flamingo working the same waters every day. Downright pristine and primordial, same as it was thousands of years ago, for sure. - Would you recommend this trip to a friend?:
Yes
